The Best Day in All My Days

The Best Day in All My Days

Today I was in Whyalla then back up to Port Augusta. Then I travelled all the way back to Kimba. Yes, when touring there is a LOT of travelling. Either you are driving or flying or waiting in airports.

And Bless his little cotton socks. Little Silas came up to me at the end of the show in Port Augusta and told me how much he loved it.

Today was a big day. Lots of driving. And, I was able to go almost straight past the big battery in SA. Last time I took a bit of a detour and was nearly late to the first show. Actually, this was when I went to Burra last year!

The shows went well and I was reminded what it was all about.

Got Any New Tricks?

Got Any New Tricks?

I was only in Burra at the start of last year. They couldn’t wait to have me back! As I was setting up, one of the students walked past, looked at me and said, I remember you. You were here last year!

Yes, I replied, Yes I was.

Got any new tricks?

The Tricks That I Should Be Able To Do But Can’t

The Tricks That I Should Be Able To Do But Can’t.

Yes, I have been doing tricks on BMX bikes for 37 years. That is a long time. A really long time. And yes, it is pretty cool that I jump on a bike and do a wheelie for as long as I want. Actually, that is pretty awesome! However, there are tricks that I have been trying for years. Seriously, about 7 or 8 years. I have come a long way with these tricks and occasionally I land them. Although I would much prefer to be landing them more consistently, that is for sure!

Sending Tyres to Africa!

Sending Tyres to Africa!

Nathaniel Lee is a BMX Freestyler from Ghana and is having a terrible time with his tyres. I am going to send him some new tyres, however, postage is very expensive. If you are able to throw in a few bucks, that’d be amazing, and it would mean that he will get the tyres much sooner rather waiting for me to save up the cash. And follow @nathaniellee78 on instagram and say hi!

This happened during a show!

Something felt strange and I wasn’t rolling properly. Quickly checking the cables, levers, and gyro, I narrowed the issue down to the brakes where I discovered the brake pad perpendicular to what it should be. Teachers to the rescue!! We like teachers. They are good.
