Travelling Back Across the Nullarbor. The most amazingly stunning scenery!
It feels like I am on my way home. And I am. But there is a looooong way to go….
A 2Hr Detour for an Extra Show
I finished the last show in Perth and wasn’t sure whether I was driving to Broomehill or to Esperance. Everyone at the agency had finished for the day and were not answering any of my calls. Eek!
I ended up staying the night at a little town where I could either turn right to go to Esperance or go straight ahead to go to Broomehill. I got a call in the morning that Broomehill was going ahead which meant I had to leave straight away. It was a two hour drive and I was due to start in 3 hours. To give me an hour for setting up and warming up. Yikes.
New Promo
I am going to use this as my new promo. What do you think?
No Time for any Warm-Up. Due to a series of unfortunate circumstances, I had no time for any warm-up. No riding, no juggling, no anything. Yet, it went spectacularly well. Sweet!
1.7cm made all the difference. Yep. I was trying to work out why I was struggling to do some of the tricks in the show. My seat was too high! But not by much. Yet enough to make a HUGE difference.
The Last Shows of the Week. I am really looking forward to some actual days of doing nothing. Driving doesn’t count as a day off.
Stopped By The Principal Mid-Show. It is true! I am not sure what he was thinking or what was going on but I had to say, I’m only half way through the show….
He was very apologetic and I went on with the show. The kids loved it.
Spare Bike to the Rescue
After a 2 hour drive I made it to Kalgoorlie, ready for shows. As I was warming up I noticed something odd happening to my rear brakes. I also learned that I had left my tools back in Melbourne. I couldn’t fix it with the tools that I had with me. This is why I have spare bike!
The issue turned out to be the brake mounting post that had come loose from the frame. An easy fix when you have the right tools.
